Hi there! My name is Kat, better known as Dark Jedi Princess, and you've managed to stumble across my graphics journal. You'll find a buncha different stuff here, everything from journal layouts to profile layouts (occasionally matching!) to graphics, to icons, to other resources such as stock art, Photoshop Brushes, and artwork tutorials. (Yes, I'm also an artist, mostly self-taught but with a handful of college classes under my belt.)
About My Layouts
I'm currently based on Dreamwidth, but all layouts that I create from now on will be compatible with both LiveJournal and Dreamwidth.

About My Graphics & Icons
Not much to say; once again, I have a flair for Shiny. It expresses itself here too. Recently I've been messing around with layer styles in Photoshop, which is both fun and tedious. You might see some Shiny in that form too :)
About My Other Resources
Music is a strong source of inspiration for me; thus far, my only resource available is a set of brushes I made years ago featuring lyrics from songs by V.A.S.T..

About My Layouts
I'm currently based on Dreamwidth, but all layouts that I create from now on will be compatible with both LiveJournal and Dreamwidth.
Here are some common elements in my layouts:
- I heavily favour custom CSS over custom theme layers.
- I work primarily with LiveJournal's S2 Expressive, and Dreamwidth's S2 Practicality.
- I customize all of the Tiny Icons, not just the user/security ones.
- I love using shiny and/or glowy graphics. See my LJ layout "Escapist" for a good example of this :). Reccently I've developed a penchant for metallic, swirling, calligraphic filaments.
- I add lots of custom classes. Classes for coloured text, special "Strong/Bold" tag classes (for when you want to, for instance, have an infoblock for your writing and artwork, which is what I use those classes for), different variations on the H1-H6 tags (normal, sans-serif, and left-aligned), and a whole bunch of others.
- So sue me, I like customizing the scrollbar colours. Even if I can't normally see the customizations, since I use Firefox.
- Many of my layouts—currently published and upcoming—started out as custom layouts for my own journals. In fact, all of my currently published layouts are based on layouts I've made for my personal journal. The two Component ones are completely unmodified from the versions I used; "Escapist" merely underwent a change in header/default icon/friends-only graphic (as the ones I used for the original featured my own art, which was... personal.) Two of my upcoming layouts are also intended for use on my personal journal; one is entirely original, and the rest are being developed both for public use and for my various creative journals/communities, including this one.
